The most common problem experienced by our customers is that all of a sudden one cannot log in anymore. Most of the time, the reason is very simple – customers are either using a different computer or new software has been installed (either directly onto the computer or within the work environment), which might have changed the following browser settings:
JavaScript was disabled
Cookies were disabled
Cookies as well as JavaScript are necessary for
net-files to function properly – please confirm that your browser settings are such that that Cookies
are always accepted and that JavaScript is enabled.
With Microsoft Internet Explorer, select the following:
Tools > Internet Options > Privacy
With Firefox, select the following:
Preferences > Privacy > Web Features
Forgot your password?
For security reasons, if you lose your password you will need to obtain a new one. To acquire a new, automatically-generated password via email:

Here you have to correctly type in your user name and then correctly answer a question regarding your password. If everything matches, net-files will automatically generate a new password and send it to the email address provided upon registration.
In the case where you did not provide a password question, forgot the correct answer, or you have a new email address and can't retrieve mail from the old account, you will have to contact your account administrator. Your account administrator can then ensure that a new password is generated and sent to your current email address.
